Grand Royal Procession Welcome on arrival at the Rambagh Palace

We would recreate the ambience of the welcome accorded to a victorious Rajput warrior. The entire driveway to the hotel is linked with decorated elephants, horses and camels. A band of musicians and horsemen precede the procession amidst a shower of rose petals. Guests are greeted with garlands and the “tikka” ceremony is performed whilst musicians and folk dancers entertain. A welcome cocktail is served.

Elephant Polo Match

In the land of Maharajas & Princes and Palaces & Forts, witness and participate in one of the ultimate royal experiences - a game of elephant polo. Guests are divided into two teams of three each. To add to the ambience, the players wear distinctively colored turbans that identify the respective teams. Each “chukkar” (round) lasts for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

Mock Indian Wedding

A traditional Indian wedding ceremony where the baraat (the bridegroom’s family and friends) arrives with a local band; the host (the bride’s family) receives the baraat and the wedding ceremony is performed under a decorated “mandap” (pavilion). The “meena bazaar” (a colorful bazaar for the ladies) also forms an integral part of the setting. Spirited “shehnai” (music) and folk dances accompany a festive buffet meal, laid out for both parties. Also accompanying the ceremony is the traditional “mehendi” (henna) application for the ladies, which is considered auspicious at the time of an Indian wedding.

Indian Village Fair Theme

A village setting is created with bamboo huts, benches and stalls. Villagers mingle with guests and display their traditional skills such as doll making, puppet making, pottery, “pichwai” painting and other crafts. After a splendid dinner, a fascinating display of fireworks brings a memorable evening to an end.

Royal Dinner at the City Palace in Jaipur

Exclusively for the groups we would organize this dinner. Tourists never get an opportunity to see this place unless one is known to the Royal Family. The evening starts with our arrival at the City Palace where guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne. Once the royal family and guests are seated in a very exclusive area, the grand procession comprising of almost 100 participants commences. The procession is a display of pomp and glory of the ruling house of Jaipur.

Desert Experience

Guests travel in beautifully decorated camel carts for a village safari. Arrive at a sunset point where they would be given a Champagne welcome and later led to sand dunes to be entertained by the local folk artists. The setting would include a big bonfire and fire torches. Cocktails will be served under a star-lit sky, while the local musicians and artists bring live the evening. A special sit down dinner with white glove service is organized at the dinning tent and a grand firework display marks the end of this memorable evening.

Gala Evening at Samode

This evening, guests depart for Samode, situated 40 kms from Jaipur. Upon arrival, at the gates of the village a surprise awaits guests - decorated camel carts waiting to take them to the palace. Guests proceed to the village accompanied by local musicians and children carrying lanterns. As guests disembark and enter the formidable iron studded gates of the main entrance to the palace, they are greeted by the magnificent palace which is magically illuminated by hundreds of lights.

To the haunting strains of the shehnai (a melodious Indian musical instrument), guests are greeted by garlands and the tikka ceremony. As the stars appear, guests enter the spectacular Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) for a welcome cocktail where they are received by our host, the Prince of Samode.

Following cocktails, guests proceed to the Durbar Hall (essentially a large decorative room originally used for public audiences) for dinner and watch the famous Rajasthani dancers relive the tales of velour and passion through song and dance. While they enjoy the cuisine, they are entertained by folk dancers who swirl to rustic music.

The climax is the colourful fireworks display from the terrace of the Palace that transforms the quiet night into a festival of light.
